Our Story
Hello and thank you for visiting!
While owning and operating a wedding and events venue wasn't something for which either Penny or I had as lifetime ambitions, the fact is the good Lord has provided such an opportunity anyway.
So, how did we arrive at this point?
Simply put, we literally were out on a Sunday drive, having visited Spring Mill Park west of Salem IN.
On our way back, due to road construction, we were detoured onto Highway 160. While driving along we noticed a stone entranceway, and its' road led up a hill with no indication what was on the other side. We decided to turn around and go explore this place.
Once we crested the hill we were wowed by a beautiful lake and soon discovered there were two. This was in 2020. At this juncture there were only 2 houses established, and what appeared to be a 'venue'; so, we began checking into whether or not buildable lots were available.
We must have visited Flat Rock Estates 20 times over the ensuing 4 years as we loved the views and could easily imagine our living there. Yet, for one reason or another, the circumstances were never right.
Then, in spring 2024, while discussing one buildable lot with the developer, we were told there was an as yet unlisted property with 12.5 acres available, and it had a wedding venue on it. Immediately we knew what he was referencing. We never imagined this land might reach the market, yet here was our opportunity, out of the proverbial 'blue'.
The venue hadn't been used in years, so we've devoted an untold number of hours working on the property nearly every day since July 2024. It's a labor of love, and we affectionately refer to Juniper Cove Venue as 'our happy place'!
For this we are eternally grateful and well-pleased to have our property play a part in happiness for others!
For every event our goal is to have stress-free occasions and smiling faces all around for clients, guests, and the wonderful vendors who are available to provide catering and entertainment.
